As Programme Manager, you will lead the start-up and implementation of our new forest landscapes conservation programme in Equatorial Guinea. Working closely with Equatorial Guinea's National Institute for Forest Development and Management of the Protected Area System (INDEFOR-AP), you will develop and deliver strategies for effective protected area management in key landscapes, namely Djibloho/Nsork and Monte Alen. This role is an exciting opportunity to shape a new programme from the ground up, building strong partnerships, and driving meaningful conservation impact.

• Lead the co-development and implementation of FZS’s conservation strategy in Equatorial Guinea
• Establish effective collaboration with INDEFOR-AP and develop a “one team” approach across protected areas
• Oversee planning and implementation of park operations, ecological monitoring, law enforcement, tourism and community engagement
• Ensure FZS achieves and maintains legal status and operates in full compliance with national laws and internal policies
• Develop and manage partnerships with government, NGOs, communities and other stakeholders
• Integrate environmental and social safeguarding into all activities
• Support fundraising and ensure efficient use of funds, staff recruitment, procurement, and reporting
• Build and manage a motivated, high-performing team within the programme

• MSc or equivalent professional background in conservation or natural resource management
• Several years of hands-on conservation experience in at least two countries, ideally including West or Central Africa
• Proven track record managing complex, donor-funded programmes and diverse teams
• Strong collaboration skills with government agencies, NGOs and local communities
• Solid experience in law enforcement operations, ranger-based monitoring, and conflict-sensitive approaches
• Fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken and written)
• Confident working in multinational, multicultural environments, including remote field settings
• Strategic thinker with a practical mindset, leadership skills, and the ability to motivate others
