About The Project
FZS is an international conservation organization working to protect biodiversity and wilderness areas at the ecosystem level for future generations through sustainable natural resource management, long-term collaborative partnerships, and by promoting environmental and social equity and justice.
We have been working with partners in Tanzania for more than 60 years and currently focus on three key landscapes: Serengeti, Mahale, and Nyerere-Selous. We work with our partners including conservation authorities, local communities and other implementers over the long term to provide practical technical and financial support, with minimum bureaucracy.
About the Position
As Tanzania Country Director you will provide leadership and critical support to the FZS landscape programs in Tanzania and lead the Tanzania Coordination Office in Arusha to support efficient delivery of site-based conservation impact. You will provide guidance and oversight to ensure the successful implementation of project activities and alignment with FZS’s global strategy. Furthermore, you will be responsible for cementing partnerships as well as identifying new opportunities to expand FZS’s conservation impact in Tanzania.
